My 5 year old son received Blokus strategy board game as a present from my sister. I also have a 6 1/2 year old son. The two of them put down their gameboys and played this game with us over and over for two hours. We've had the game for a week now and they are still asking to play. It's a great introduction to building strategies and using their spacial abilities. The rules are simple and the game itself goes fairly quickly which is great since my kids have a hard time sitting still for long. If I had seen this at the store I probably would never have considered it, but I would recommend it to everyone now that we have played it.
