There's some kind of appeal to finding a good fit, like in jigsaw puzzles or Tetris. We (parents and kids aged 9 and 11) try to find time to play blokus strategy at least once each day, and with each game taking <30>mins, we can usually squeeze one in. Games are more interesting with 4 players. Pros/Neutrals: 1. Few rules, easy to learn (even my 4-yr-old plays with us) 2. Quick games 3. Purely strategic play 4. Although it's all plastic, it seems well constructed (even the cardboard box it comes in) 5. Should appeal to a wide range of ages. Can see playing this with just adults. Cons: 1. Lots of small pieces that might get lost depending on how well you care for your games Will be looking for a travel version.
